Since we were kids, our parents owned nail salons throughout the Philadelphia area.
Our journey in nails began in Downingtown, then Germantown, then two locations in Frankford, and after 35-years of total experience between us, we’re ready to have a place to call our own.
We’re calling it Bellacure Lounge, and we’re happy to be opening our first location on South Street in South Philly!
It's a family business.
Growing up, we bonded over doing each other’s nails—as sisters whose parents owned a nail salon would. Naturally, we began learning professionally at the family business, partially to earn some fun money for the weekend and partially to help our parents with home finances.
They took us under their wing, teaching us the craft and techniques to master the art of nails. But the most valuable thing they taught both of us was the significance of every person that walked through the door, and that they weren’t just clients.
They were right. It always brought a smile to our parents' faces when our regulars walked in and greeted them as “Moms” or “Pops”. Since then, our client sessions have always felt like friends catching up on life, that just happens to end in a perfect manipedi.
Our clients aren’t just our clients, customers, or friends—they’re part of the family.

From pandemic to a dream.
In 2020, our parents’ business fell victim to the pandemic. Like everyone else, this gave us a moment to think and dream bigger. As life slowly returned to “normal,” we knew that opening our own salon would be one of our goals.
We want to make our parents proud by continuing their legacy of top quality service and treating our clients like family. And like any family, it needs a house, and that house for all of us is Bellacure.
